If you know us at all you know we love to travel. One of the places we have never been is Hawaii. Well that is about to be knocked off the bucket list. We are going for two weeks and hitting Oahu for one week and then The Big Island for the second week. We have several things planned, like a tour of Pearl Harbor, visiting the Dole Plantation, stargazing on top of a volcano and swimming with Manta Rays, just to name a few.

Somehow this trip started with us talking about doing Hawaii. Then it turned into Vanessa’s brother Ricky and his wife Candy going. Then somehow Candy’s son Alex and his new wife Morgan jumped onboard (just for the second week) and then our good friends Jeff and Tammy said Hey! What about us?! So yeah, eight of us total are going, six for the first week and then all eight for the second week. I don’t know…either we come back even closer as family and friends…or some of us might need bail money in order to come home. Tune in to find out. LOL

But before we get there…PACKING

If you know Vanessa you know she loves clothes, shoes, purses…shopping in general. Getting her packed for two weeks is…well lets just say fun. It really starts like a month out with suitcases and clothes everywhere. The bed in the spare room becomes the staging ground. Stacks of clothes for each day. With way to many “options”..you know, in case she changes her mind. We are down to 4 days left, really 3 for packing. We have two suitcases full and two more being worked on. Hoping to just have those four and then just a backpack for each of us on the plane. We will see if that pans out or not.
